David Paul Montgomery, Jr. has been with Braxton & Holway, P.A. since 2005. He currently manages the firms audit and review services department.
In addition to providing tax, accounting and business services, Mr. Montgomery also works closely with Mr. Braxton in the area of Common Interest Realty Associations (CIRA's). Under Mr. Braxton's guidance, he is currently developing an expertise as it relates to the taxation and auditing of CIRA's and their compliance with applicable Florida Statutes.
Mr. Montgomery is a graduate of Manatee High School and received his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida in 2001. Mr. Montgomery has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Georgia since 2007 and is currently in the process of obtaining his license in the State of Florida.
During his college career, Mr. Montgomery served an internship with Braxton & Holway, P.A. during the summer of 2001 and with PricewaterhouseCoopers, L.L.P. (PwC) during the winter of 2002. After college he started full-time with PwC where he served as an associate in their Assurance and Business Advisory Services department from the winter of 2004 until his full-time employment at Braxton & Holway, P.A. in July 2005.
Mr. Montgomery is a member of the University of Florida Alumni Association and currently serves on the Board of the Manatee High School Baseball Boosters.
Mr. Montgomery and his wife Sara live in Bradenton. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, playing several competitive sports, and traveling. He also is an avid Florida Gators Football and Basketball fan.
